Support Your Liberal Media
I was busy giving speeches and appearing on a podcast this weekend
This weekend I was honored to be a guest speaker at the Laurens County Democratic Party’s February meeting. They’re holding down rural organizing y’all—highly encourage you to support them and don’t forget about all the Democratic county conventions this month (Greenville County turn out this Saturday 3/7 at 10 am at Changing Your Mind Ministries, 9 Beth Drive. Laurens County you’re up the weekend following: 3/14 10 AM Laurens County Agricultural Center, 137 Fairgrounds Rd, Laurens). County conventions are where political parties elect delegates for the state convention, hear from and support candidates running for office, and set party platforms.
If you can’t make it, don’t be afraid to donate a few dollars to the Democratic Party or to local campaigns. Democrats are winning up and down the ballot in elections all over the country—this could be a moment we start to turn the tide. The stakes for preserving our democracy and protecting lives around the world couldn’t be higher.
This weekend I was also a guest on the fabulous Black, White and Blue in the South podcast with Bill Kimler and Jumelle Brooks. It’s the most fun I’ve had talking about depressing topics in a long time. You can download the episode anywhere podcasts are available or watch it on Youtube. Highly recommend you subscribe!
Watch if you want to see all my weird faces. Or just listen.
Thanks as always for reading and supporting the newsletter. What gives me hope is that we can change, and when we come together we have the power to remake our society. Like we talk about in the podcast, let’s get back to E Pluribus Unum, out of many, one. As Cicero had it: “When each person loves the other as much as himself, it makes one out of many (unum fiat ex pluribus), as Pythagoras wishes things to be in friendship.” Grateful for all of you.

1. Ok spill on Wuthering Heights thoughts, I appreciated it for what it was and I think many people saw it wanting it to be like the book and were therefore disappointed 2. Please do more podcasts, could listen to your insight all day!
